Vibrio parahaemolyticus

This qualitative proficiency test, your testing ability for the detection of the pathogen Vibrio parahaemolyticus in fish will be evaluated.
This pathogen, Vibrio parahaemolyticus can cause a range of sickness symptoms, the most extreme of which can result in hospitalisation, contamination can also cause food spoilage. As such it is imperative to highlight any high, or potentially unsafe, levels of this pathogen within a range of foodstuffs, including fish. Through your effective testing measures this effective testing measures can occur, from which to protect the consumer.
This contamination can result from raw ingredients, poor sanitation or hygiene practices, or inappropriate storage conditions.
