Test Description

Contaminants within canned fish can come about as a result of a number of factors related to the marine environment,  production and processing of this foodstuff. Through non-intentionally added substances as part of the life cycle or production process, heavy metals can accumulate in the fish, resulting in potentially unsafe food.

Through accurate testing these contaminants can be identified and quantified, minimising this risk to the consumer and providing manufacturers with the information they need to reduce this risk in future foodstuffs. Quality control materials should be used to refine accurate testing processes, highlight any areas of improvement, and show any overall characteristics of your testing processes.

Fapas quality control materials are made up of real food materials, as are our proficiency tests. And as such, any comparisons between results and the known dataset are immediately comparable to your routine testing analysis. This saves time and can allow you to improve your testing arrangement quickly promoting any testing improvements to passed to your customers quickly and effectively.
