Test Description

This proficiency tests evaluates the detection and quantification of acid herbicides in grapefruit, helping to demonstrate competency in the analysis and confidence in the use of laboratory analysis to determine the quality of products before they enter the food chain.

Acid herbicides are used extensively within agriculture, mainly for the control of broad-leaved weeds and usually in a safe and responsible manner. However, their use can result in potential contamination of crop plants and the associated risk for consumers.

Proficiency testing activities from Fapas challenge your laboratories in much the same way as your routine analysis activities. This gives direct comparisons from which to provide valuable insights into your current testing ability, as well as areas for improvement. This can in turn inform your wider quality assurance measures, safeguarding your high quality testing ability for the future.
