Test Description

Pesticide residues in fish are becoming a large issue with the increased amount of farmed fish in global production today, as well as the large scale consumption of fish globally. These residues are regulated in many countries and for many commodities, with maximum residue limits set within EU and other legislation. Pesticide residues can translocate across the food chain and into animal products, thereby contaminating foodstuffs and can potentially cause adverse effects through consumption.

Laboratories with a key interest in analysing fat-soluble pesticide residues in animal products and plant-derived fats or oils can use these proficiency tests to further benchmark their quality control processes for high level screening and testing capabilities. This blank material is useful to compare against pesticide residues (fat soluble) analysis, as a number of residues will present from the list of possible target compounds in the product specification.

This blank material is ideal to ensure effective calibration curves are created. This can ensure only high quality test results are found. Blank materials from Fapas are ideal for ensuring matrix matching takes place. By using blank materials as close to positive test samples as possible the matrix effect is dramatically reduced.

Blank materials from Fapas make use of real food matrices to provide the key insights into your routine testing abilities you require. These can be used to maintain the level of accuracy required to satisfy both your customers and regulators of your testing capabilities.
