Test Description

Within this quality control material, your testing ability for a range of aflatoxins and ochratoxin A within infant food can be evaluated. An aflatoxin is a potent carcinogen produced by the Aspergillus flavours and Aspergillus parasiticus moulds which commonly grow and can be found in corn.

Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolites produced by fungi on agricultural commodities in the field or during storage. It is estimated at 25% of the world's food crops are affected, resulting in large commercial losses.
