Test Description

This blank material is from the same source as the positive material. As such it provides the perfect match for your analysis, giving the same matrix responses as seen in the positive material.

Pesticides are used extensively across the globe. They have effective yield improving qualities, but must be used properly to reduce any residues passed on to animals or consumers. This can often be the case due to their extensive benefits and therefore the short term gains that can be made.

Most countries now have an extensive monitoring scheme for pesticide residues written into their legislation. There are more than 1000 compounds used worldwide as pesticides or plant protection products. When used properly, according to good agricultural practice, any residues can be expected to be below maximum residue limits. The Fapas pesticide residues proficiency tests are based on the EU monitoring list and associated MRLs but are widely applicable to most geographic areas. We also base our statistical data analysis in keeping with quality assurance guidelines as laid out in EC SANTE/11945/2015.

Dithiocarbamates are used across a range of fungicides, their wide ranging advantages and relatively low effects on environment has resulted in their widespread use. It is therefore important to ensure that good pesticide usage practises are being used, from which to ensure only safe foodstuffs are being offered to consumers.

Lettuce is a staple foodstuff which is consumed across the globe in various forms and within various recipes. Due to this extensive demand there is a real need for effective testing abilities from which to highlight any low quality or potentially unsafe produce with high pesticide residues levels.

Fapas proficiency testing provides a key benchmark of your laboratory testing ability. From this, key areas of improvement can be identified within your current testing set up. This can, in turn, ensure your customers continue to receive high quality, valid test results, to satisfy regulators and other interested parties.
