Test Description

This quality control material is intended to allow laboratories to demonstrate competence in the analysis of basic quality parameters in beer.  Alcohol analyis is required to ensure the correct duty payments are made on the traded product, and bitterness is a key taste parameter by which consumers choose their preferred type and brand of beer.

Routine monitoring of beer batches can help to improve the consistency of product over time reducing the risk of new batches tasting significantly different from those the consumer is used to.

To achieve the accurate testing required quality control materials should be utilised within a well-designed quality assurance scheme. Fapas quality control materials allow you to track your progress between your proficiency testing activities. Fapas quality control materials are also useful to standardise your testing processes to achieve long term high quality testing from which to provide credible, repeatable test results.
