Test Description

This Fapas quality control material is ideal to evaluate your testing ability for a range of pesticides in potato. The test requires identification and quantification of the analytes, and is a realistic test of your screening and quantitative analysis of pesticides.

There are more than 1000 compounds used worldwide as pesticides or plant protection products. When used properly, according to good agricultural practice, any residues can be expected to be below maximum residue limits. The Fapas pesticide quality controls are based on the EU monitoring list and associated MRLs but are widely applicable to most geographic areas.

Paprika can be found within a large amount of foodstuffs as both a core ingredient and as a seasoning spice. Being a blend of various peppers it is imperative that flexible testing practices are utilised to highlight poor quality, or potentially unsafe pesticide levels.
